I provide supervision in a range of different settings both privately and corporately. This includes: counsellors, psychotherapists, trainees, coach’s, medical profession, clinical staff in hospices, occupational health, staff counselling services, people working in not for profit organisations, drug and alcohol services, young people’s services, therapeutic theatre, health practitioners such as massage therapists, cranial sacral therapists, acupuncturists etc
It is my belief that all professionals, particularly those working with people require a facilitated space to reflect upon their professional practice. Ruth provides 1:1 and group supervision where issues can be raised in a supportive non judgmental environment. Supervision can provide a place for high levels of support and challenge. It is a safe and confidential space to work through difficulties; however it can also look at professional development and be a place to celebrate success. Supervision provides a place to support the development of self awareness in the practitioner. This process can be used to look at practice development, team working, individual clients, general difficulties in the work and workplace. It can be an essential source of support when difficulties present for individuals and organisations. Sometimes these difficulties may be of a personal nature . It is often used as a place to offload and move forwards from.
Ruth supervises qualified and experienced counsellors and psychotherapists and those who are in training.
Ruth’s practice is based in Totnes and Newton Abbot, Teignmouth, Torquay and further afield by request.
